Viveiros Jardimseco is a small, owner-run nursery in Tavira, East Algarve, specialising exclusively in drought-tolerant plants suited to the dry conditions of southern Portugal and Spain. Their range spans mediterranean shrubs, trees, palms, aloes, agaves, landscape succulents (including ground-cover varieties), climbers, hedging, bulbous and rhizomatous plants, lawn alternatives, and a selection of edible/fruit plants, with a particular emphasis on unusual varieties not commonly found in mainstream garden centres. All stock is propagated and grown on-site in conditions that mirror where the plants will ultimately be planted, and they use eco-friendly fibre pots with anti-spiral root-pruning containers to promote healthy establishment. There is no walk-in retail outlet; orders are placed online, with pricing, availability and delivery confirmed by email before any payment is requested.
