🇬🇧The Citrus Centre

The Citrus Centre is a small, family-run specialist nursery based at Mare Hill Nurseries, Pulborough, West Sussex, UK, that has been growing and selling citrus plants for over 30 years. The shop offers an exceptional range of more than 150 citrus cultivars — including lemons, limes, mandarins, oranges, sour oranges, grapefruits, citrons, kumquats, tangelos, hardy citrus varieties, and Indian Curry Leaf plants — covering everything from tiny 1-inch rootstock seedlings right up to 14-foot, 60-year-old ex-grove specimen trees. In addition to plants, the nursery sells its own branded citrus fertiliser and specialist citrus compost. Sales are conducted via mail order, a click-and-collect service through their Shopify-powered website, and in-person visits by appointment (Tuesday–Saturday, 10–4). The nursery also runs courses on growing and propagating citrus, making it a well-rounded destination for both beginners and serious enthusiasts.
