🇫🇷Sylvestre Agrumes

Sylvestre Agrumes is a long-established artisan nursery in the Anjou region of France (Maine-et-Loire) that has been producing and selling hardy, cold-resistant citrus trees since 1980. Its core offer is a collection of over 500 citrus varieties — including Satsuma, sweet orange, kumquat, yuzu, citron and many rare cultivars — all grafted onto Poncirus trifoliata rootstock for cold hardiness down to -20 °C. In December 2024 the nursery was taken over by agronomist Cédric Vandenbossche, who relocated to a new site at Brain-sur-Longuenée while preserving the full historic collection. In addition to citrus, the shop offers other exotic fruit trees (figs, Japanese medlars), cacti, and succulents. Plants can be purchased through the webshop (sylvestre-agrumes.fr / .com) or by appointment directly at the nursery. Pricing sits in the €35–€38 range for grafted citrus specimens, which is typical for specialist nursery-quality stock. The shop also runs an active growing blog and maintains a newsletter community for citrus enthusiasts.
