Shop description

Scottish Heritage Fruit Trees, based in Glasgow (G20 6DA) and run by orchard expert John Hancox, is a specialist supplier of fruit trees and soft fruit suited to Scotland and the wider UK. The range includes apple, plum, pear, cherry, hazel, walnut, and soft fruit such as raspberries, currants and gooseberries, with a particular focus on rare and heritage Scottish varieties (e.g. Bloody Ploughman, Galloway Pippin, White Melrose). Trees are sold bare-root (dispatched November–March) or in pots year-round and shipped by carrier across Scotland, Northern England, Wales and Ireland. Operating as a social enterprise, the business dedicates significant time to planting and supporting school and community orchards, and offers additional consultancy services including site visits, orchard planning, pruning and training.
