Shop description
Pépinières Quissac is an ecological nursery near Nîmes (Gard, southern France) specialising in plants suited to hot, dry summers and cold winters down to -10 °C. Their standout offering is an exceptionally wide citrus collection — over 100 grafted varieties including cold-hardy oranges, mandarins, yuzu, papedas and pomelos — alongside rare fruit trees such as a national collection of pomegranates, figs, jujubes, disease-resistant apple and peach varieties, and striped nashi pears. Beyond edibles, they stock a full range of dry-garden and Mediterranean ornamentals: flowering perennials, sages, aromatic shrubs, climbing plants, hedging species (cornel, elderberry, pistachio), and lawn-free ground-cover alternatives such as Zoysia and Lippia. With around 1,600 references online and ~2,000 in production, pricing is described by customers as very reasonable; plants are sold in 1.3–3 litre pots grown without heated glasshouses or peat, hardened to drought from an early age, and shipped carefully packaged in straw-lined boxes.
