Pepinature (pepinature.com) is a small artisan French nursery based in Briatexte (Tarn), specialising in edible and nourishing fruit trees grown without conventional pesticides in organic-approved substrate. Their catalogue spans classic stone fruits — apricots, cherries, peaches, nectarines, plums — alongside pome fruits such as apples, pears, and Asian Nashis, plus persimmons (kakis) and pawpaws (asiminiers). A headline speciality is their own Prumixs™ range: rare interspecific hybrids (pluots, plumcots, nectacots, cherrycots and more) that blend apricots, cherries, peaches and plums into unique cultivars not widely found elsewhere. The nursery offers both a base price (held stable since opening) and a higher "fair price" tier that better reflects production costs, leaving the choice to the customer. Online sales with at-cost shipping run from September to late April, with on-site pickup also available by appointment.
