Kwekerij De Hessenhof is a Skal-certified organic nursery located in Ede (Veluwe), Netherlands, founded in 1981. It specialises in a remarkably large assortment of biological perennial plants — reportedly up to 3,000 species, possibly the widest range in Western Europe — all grown on-site using self-produced leaf mould (bladaarde) instead of peat, and propagated in-house. Alongside perennial plants, the nursery sells biological vegetable and flower seeds, leaf mould (in bags and bulk), books, garden tools, fertilisers, earthenware pots, and plant labels. Unusually, it operates as a visit-only nursery: no online ordering, reservation, or shipping is offered; customers browse the live stock (updated every Wednesday evening) and purchase in person on Thursday, Friday or Saturday.
