🇳🇱Kwekerij Arborealis

Kwekerij Arborealis is a Dutch specialist nursery (webshop + physical shop in Wilhelminaoord, Drenthe) founded in 2014, focused on food-forest plants grown according to permaculture principles. Their webshop lists over 1,700 products spanning the full multi-layer structure of a food forest — canopy trees, shrubs, climbers, herbaceous perennials, ground covers, and herbs — with a strong emphasis on edible species (fruits, berries, nuts, shoots, and flowers) alongside nitrogen-fixing and soil-improving support plants. They also carry native/autochthonous Dutch plants, ornamental perennials, ferns, grasses, shade plants, and roses, as well as a dedicated range of edible plants for horses and livestock (via their sister brand Paard & Plant). Plants are grown without pesticides or artificial fertilisers in peat-free compost, and the nursery has been Skal Biocontrol certified (organic) since March 2026. Online ordering is available from September through spring; the physical shop is open Thursday–Saturday from March to December.
