Hof Jeebel (trading as Biogartenversand) is a well-established German organic garden mail-order specialist founded in 2005 and based on a Bioland-certified farm in Jeebel, near Salzwedel in Saxony-Anhalt. The shop offers an exceptionally broad range of certified organic products, including over 1,400 varieties of open-pollinated, seed-fast vegetable, herb and flower seeds; more than 100 varieties of certified organic seed potatoes; fruit trees (apple, pear, cherry, plum, quince, peach, apricot, fig, walnut and more); soft fruit bushes (raspberries, blackberries, currants, gooseberries, blueberries, cranberries, kiwis, vines); strawberry plants; vegetable seedlings; organic flower bulbs; and a wide selection of garden tools, growing supplies, organic fertilisers and gardening books. The company emphasises sustainability — using recycled packaging, minimising plastic and sourcing plants from regional Bioland-certified nurseries wherever possible. With around 60 permanent staff and up to 90 seasonal workers during the spring peak, it is a sizeable operation that ships throughout Europe. Pricing is mid-range, reflecting the premium organic and Bioland-certified origin of all products.
