What's for sale
Shop description
Bois de Rode Bos is a Belgian nursery based in Sint-Genesius-Rode (Linkebeek) that specialises exclusively in unusual and rare fruit trees suited to the local temperate climate. Their range is exceptionally broad: fig trees (one- and two-bearing varieties, early-ripening and compact forms), pawpaws (Asimina triloba), kakis/persimmons (including hardy Asian–American hybrids), nashi pears, mulberries, hardy citrus, pomegranates, feijoas, kiwi and kiwi berry (Actinidia arguta), disease-resistant vines and grapes, serviceberries (amelanchiers), aronia, haskap/honeyberry, medlars, thornless blackberries, coloured and heritage apple varieties, Russian pears, Canadian dwarf cherries, goji, elderberry, chestnut, walnut, and pecan (ultra-northern varieties). A portion of the plants are propagated in-house by seed, grafting, or cuttings. Orders are placed online and collected at the nursery within 48 hours; no home delivery is offered. The shop functions as both a webshop and a physical nursery open Thursday–Saturday, making it a niche destination for edible-garden enthusiasts seeking varieties that are difficult or impossible to find in mainstream garden centres.
